Off to See Some Bricks

A couple of weeks ago Daddy took Emma and I to a special Lego show. It was for a fundraiser for a school and they had the master builders display some of their best creations.

There was lots of cool Lego things to see like this enormous Hogwarts castle from Harry Potter. It would've taken a long time to build!

This was also a scene from the Lego movie.

There was also a big Lego city in the middle that even had a working train.

And of course there was Star Wars!

A Spring Time Dip

It's nice that it is spring now. It's not freezing any more and sometimes we have really warm days. Recently we went for a visit to Cronulla on one of those warm days. It was so warm that I actually wanted to get into the water. Emma went in for a swim as well.

It was a little bit cold at first and you can hear me in the video doing funny voices because of the cool water but I got used to it.

After some hard work building sand castles and playing at the park, it was time for a well deserved ice cream. The flavour I ate was bubblegum. Can you tell?

My New Sport

A few weeks ago I started on my next new sport - Tee-Ball! It has a tee with the ball on the top and you have to hit it as hard as you can. I'm good at hitting the ball. I'm super fast at running too.

Here's me in my uniform. I'm playing for St Pats.

Here's an action shot of me hitting the ball. We have to wear helmets when we are batting.

And this is a short video to show how fast I can run after I hit the ball.

Did you know that there are a lot of sports that I want to try? I think some of them look pretty cool and it would be fun to give them a go. Next I want to try basketball and tennis!

Soccer Rocket

In case you didn't know, I have been playing soccer on Saturday mornings during Winter. I play for the team called North Sutherland Rockets and it is called nursery soccer. We play different games to teach us soccer skills and sometimes we all play a real game. It can get pretty cold on some mornings so luckily I can run really fast to get warmed up.

A few weeks ago was the last day of the season. We did some practice and then played a few games. I had a little fall in this one, can you see it in the video? I was alright though and got back up and kept playing.

Here are all the kids that I played with.

We also got awards at the end for playing well!

Happy 5th Birthday to Me! - Part 2

Here is the fallout of my birthday. I ended up getting a lot of presents, I was a lucky boy!

I wanted to go to Sizzler for my birthday lunch so we went there. Lots of people came - Nanna, Grandad, Uncle Brian, Dione, James and Charlotte. I got to drink lots of lemonade because you could keep refilling your cup. I had special birthday cupcakes that Dione had made me. I had to keep blowing because the candles wouldn't go out!

Once we finally got home I was very keen to build the new Lego set that I got. I've been wanting to get this one for a long time.

Here's a little video showing how excited I got when I opened some of my presents on the day before my birthday. You can also see me trying out the spy tank that I got too.

Side Note

I have been informed that there was a slight error in my 5th birthday slide show. I must've been so excited putting it all together that I didn't realise that the last slide was wrong. It was supposed to be my new preschool photo, so here it is:

Happy 5th Birthday to Me!

It's my birthday! Today I become a 5 year old. It's been very exciting to count down to this day. I think I started counting many months ago.

I'm sure it will be a big day and I will update you soon with the aftermath of my birthday.

For this special day I've made a slideshow of photos that show how I've changed over the last 5 years.

Real Bowling

This week and next week is school holidays and that means that I don't go to preschool and Emma doesn't go to school. Daddy took some time off work and has been looking after us while mummy is at work. A few days ago we went bowling. It was pretty exciting because I haven't been real bowling before, I've only played it on the Wii.

I had no idea how heavy the bowling balls were! Once I worked out how to throw them, I was off. I managed to knock down the pins lots of times. Emma and Daddy did some good bowling too. I loved bowling so much that I definitely want to do it again!

Here's a video of some of our bowling. I kept running back after my bowl so I could look at the screen and see my score. After bowling we had some tokens to use on the games that were there. I had fun helping Emma on the basketball game.
