Lately I have been having a lot of fun swimming. I'm getting much better thanks to the lessons I go to every week. For the last couple of weekends I have been going up to the pool at Sutherland to have a splash around. I like to practice my backstroke. I also like to do bombs! Here's a video of one of my bombs. Straight after I did this Daddy showed me the sign that said "No Bombing", whoops!
And now for a couple of photos from the archives.
This is me pretending to be really serious with my gun that shoots lots of darts.
And here I am at Nanna and Grandad's playing cricket. I'm starting to like cricket now and might even be playing it during Summer!
Some of you might know that I like to watch Youtube, especially videos of people playing games. I also like to play games and I've been wanting to make my own gaming video for a while...and here it is! This video shows me playing the game and you can also see me talking. This is one of the games I like to play with Dad.
I even got to show this video to my class at school when I brought it in for news, they all liked it!
I've been excited for a while about my birthday coming up, and it started off early in the end of June when I had my birthday party. I got to invite lots of my friends to a disco glow party! We all had spray painted hair and glow sticks. There was dancing and games and we had a yum Minion ice cream cake!
Then the day before my birthday we went to Nanna and Grandad's place for a BBQ. Uncle Brian even surprised me by coming down to visit! I got some awesome presents and had some yummy birthday cupcakes.
Finally it was the big day....my 6th birthday! I got up super early because I was so excited and couldn't wait to open presents.
After a quick visit to see Mummy and Emma and get more presents, it was time for all of us to get on the train and go to the city. We went to a cool Lego brickman show.
After the Lego show we went for some really yummy pancakes. They were very big and I couldn't eat all of them.
We finally got home and it was time to take a breather. I managed to find a little bit of room to have some of my birthday cake.
Now that I'm a 6 year old, I've been wondering what new things I can do. I'm probably taller now and I also have some new teeth coming through. I reckon I can run much faster than when I was 5 years old.
As you probably already know, I like to try out different sports. Over summer it was Tee ball and over winter it is soccer.
Recently we had a presentation night for tee ball because we came equal 1st in the competition! We got some cool trophies and medals. I'm looking forward to playing again at the end of this year.
And this is my official player photo:
This year I am playing under 6 soccer for Grays Point Possums. It's really cool to be playing proper games now. We are already well into the season but here are some pics from my first game. We have had a few wins since then and I have also scored a few goals!
Now that summer is over, so is the T-Ball season. We ended up tying 1st place for the season! I had lots of fun playing and can't wait for the next season. This was our medal ceremony.
Back in February we had a family fun night at my school. It was like a disco except parents had to participate too! It was funny watching Mummy and Daddy.
I was exhausted from all the dancing but it was fun.
See how sweaty I got?? Lucky we had pizza to give me energy.
A couple of weeks ago at school I was able to participate in the Book Whizz competition. This required us to read books and answer questions on those books correctly. I was selected to represent my class in the final. It was very exciting because it took place in the school hall and parents came to watch too!
The day started with some activities in our classroom. Mummy, Daddy and Nanna came to see my room. I got to show them where I sit and where we can read books.
Then it was time to go to the hall for the grand final of the Book Whizz competition. I wasn't worried at all!
And here you can see that we won and I became the kindergarten champion! I was very proud and I think everyone else was too.
