Exploring Cronulla

Now that the weather is warming up it is a good time to do more exploring outdoors. Just recently Dad and I went down to Cronulla and checked out the rock pools. I thought these were really interesting.

But before we did any exploring we had to get a drink and relax on the grass. You can see how relaxed I was.


Then we went down near the rocks and the water. I felt like doing a bit of posing down there!

Tactical Jack

Back in June, Dad and I went to a special expo called Supanova. It is called a 'pop culture' expo and has a lot of things like movies, comics and video games. Lots of cool stuff. There was one part of it that was setup like a warzone and it was called the Nerf Battleground. It was cool because you could pick one of the guns, grab all your darts and then go and find a good spot.

There was also an area where they taught you how to draw different kinds of characters. I even got to dress up as one of them as you can see here (I'm an evil eraser!):

Sydney Vivid 2017

This year Dad and I went into the city at night to see the Vivid festival. If you don't know what this is, it's a special time where there are lots of really cool lights and effects all around the city. There are quite a lot of people around but it was alright. Some of the light effects are really good and make the buildings look really different.












I brought my own phone with me so I could also take pictures (yes I have one of Dad's old phones!)

Basketballer

Can you believe I have just finished a season of basketball? That was the sport I wanted to try out this winter. I had a lot of fun even though it was pretty tricky at the start trying to bounce the ball and run at the same time. I didn't even know the rules at first! We got better after every training session and game and I enjoyed it.

When the season finished we had a presentation day and we all got trophies.

Driving with Jack

You might remember last year when I showed you a video of my new set of wheels (you can see it here). A little while ago we took the car out again but this time we stuck the GoPro to it! I think it looks pretty cool, especially when it almost catches me. We filmed some pretty awesome rolls, especially the big one at the end! Luckily nothing was damaged.

Jack the Explorer

Back in March (yes, Dad forgot to post these ones earlier!) I went on an exploring trip in the city with Dad. We visited things that we had not really seen before.

We ended up doing a lot of walking - around 15 kilometres! We got to see really old cannons that were underneath the harbour bridge which I thought was really cool. There was even some of the old walls from the forts that used to be there.

I was also in the mood to get my picture taken so we took lots!

My 8th Birthday

As I'm sure you know, July is a big month for me because it's my birthday time! This year I turned 8. It was a very big and exciting day.

It started off with me getting up and unwrapping presents. I got some really cool things. Then I went to the movies with a bunch of my best friends to see Spiderman: Homecoming. It was really good! After the movie we had lunch then a gaming session at my Dad's place. After that it was time to say goodbye to my friends and head off for dinner at the Tradies with Nanna and Grandad. What a day!

Mum made me a really yum cake:



As you can see my birthday cake was actually a Pokeball which is from Pokemon if you don't know.
