USA Holiday - Last Days at Universal

Our time at Universal was finally coming to an end, but not before we did a couple more visits to the parks. Here's a video of some of the things we got up to on those last days (click here if you can't see the video)

USA Holiday - Volcano Bay

The last park that we visited during our Universal stay was Volcano Bay. This was a very new water park that had only opened earlier in the year. It was a great water park! There were lots of very cool water slides, multiple lazy rivers and the huge volcano in the middle of the park. We were lucky because our hotel was right next door to it and we had our own secret entrance.

USA Holiday - Universal's Halloween Horror Nights

This one would've been a bit too much for me so I sat it out. Instead, Dad and Emma went. This was very different to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney....this one was supposed to be scary! The park completely transformed into a dark and scary place. I heard there were lots of characters in costumes all over the park ready to scare people. There were also lots of haunted houses to visit. I'm glad I didn't go to this one...maybe when I'm older!

USA Holiday - Islands of Adventure

We continue our stay at Universal as we visit its second park - Islands of Adventure. Here we saw the Marvel super heroes area with the ridiculous Incredible Hulk rollercoaster (none of us went on that one!). We also got to see more Harry Potter because this park has Hogsmeade and is connected to Diagon Alley back at Universal Studios by the Hogwarts Express. There was also a Jurassic Park area with a river ride that had a big drop!

USA Holiday - Universal Studios 1

Our time at Disney was up but the holiday was not over yet. After a quick Uber trip north, we arrived at our resort at Universal Studios - Cabana Bay Beach Resort. This resort was right next to Volcano Bay! After a look around and a swim we went to Universal Citywalk to explore some more and get something to eat.
We spent the next day at the Universal Studios. The big highlight here was Diagon Alley, which most of you would know from Harry Potter. There was a lot to see and do, but the first thing to take care of was wand shopping. With a special wand we began casting spells on the special magic spots that were located all over the area.
